How to flash Stock rom on galaxy y without using odin

Hello guys, this is Tanay Agarwal and today you will learn how to flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy y without using odin. 

I found most of the people complaining that odin is not detecting their device. This might be due to several reasons such as:--  

1) You do not have the proper drivers for your device installed in your computer.

2) Do check the USB debugging mode in your device. To do so go to 

 Setting-->Applications-->Development-->USB debugging.

If you still face trouble flashing the stock rom, then their is another easy way of doing it and it is via Android system recovery.

All you need to do is to download two files.

1) Skin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip, file size will be around 1.34MB.

2) Clockworkmod(ZIP file),  file size will be around 123MB.

You will find the download link at the end of the post. 

So now lets get onto the track. Carefully follow the steps below and you will be done.

Step 1) Extract the  Clockworkmod(ZIP) (123MB) file, you will get a folder with same name as the zip file now paste it in your SD card. 

Step 2) Now paste the Skin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip  (1.34MB) file in your SD card.

NOTE: Please do not paste these two files in any folders. 

Step 3) Turn off your phone and boot into recovery. Press and hold Volume up+Home key+Power button together.

Step 4) Select apply update from sd card

Step 5) Now select Skin1980-GT-S5360+CWM.zip

Step 6) Select wipe data/reset.

Step 7) Select cache partition.

Step 8) Select backup and restore.

Step 9) Select Restore.

Step 10) Select Ddle 1.

Step 11) Select Yes - Restore.

Step 12) Wait for the installation process to complete. 

Step 13) Select Reboot System now.

If you have followed the all the above steps correctly then you will end with a fresh and fine stock rom.

MOST IMPORTANT: If you are in custom kernel then do not try this method because it wont't work. First flash stock kernel and then proceed.
